Questions? We've got answers.
Find quick answers to the most common questions about renting and listing on PartyShare.
Getting Started
PartyShare is a marketplace where you rent party equipment directly from local vendors. You browse listings, request a booking for your dates and quantity, and pay through the platform. The vendor reviews and accepts your request, then you coordinate pickup or delivery together.
No — you can browse and search every listing without an account. You'll only need to sign up when you're ready to send a booking request, save a listing, or message a vendor.
You can request a booking up to 90 days ahead of your party date.
Not yet — PartyShare currently only supports vendors and renters based in the United States.
Booking & Payments
Your payment method is authorized when you submit a booking request and only charged once the vendor accepts it. If the vendor declines, or the request expires before they respond, the authorization is released and you're not charged.
If a vendor doesn't respond in time, your request expires automatically and any payment authorization is released — you won't be charged. You're free to request the same dates from another vendor.
Yes — when a listing allows renting more than one at a time, you can choose a quantity along with your dates, and the price scales accordingly.
PartyShare doesn't process security deposits through the platform today. If a vendor requires one, it's described in the listing's rental terms and handled directly between you and the vendor.
Cancellation terms are set by each vendor and shown on the listing before you book. Review them carefully — they vary between vendors.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You'll enter your card details when you submit a booking request.
Delivery & Pickup
Each vendor decides whether they offer pickup, delivery, or both — it's shown on every listing, along with their service area. Delivery fees are set by the vendor.
Delivery fees are confirmed with your booking request rather than charged automatically at checkout, since they can depend on your address and the vendor's service area.
When a vendor has added a location to their listing, you'll see a map on the listing page so you know roughly where the item is coming from.
Trust, Safety & Reviews
Each listing describes the vendor's damage responsibility terms. If something goes wrong, contact the vendor through PartyShare messages to resolve it — keeping the conversation on the platform creates a record for both sides.
Check a vendor's reviews from past renters on their profile, and message them with any questions before you book — that's the best way to get a feel for how they work.
Yes — after a rental is complete, both you and the vendor can leave a review. Reviews show up on the listing and profile to help future renters.
Messaging & Support
Use the Contact button on any listing to send an inquiry before you book. After you book, all coordination happens in your PartyShare inbox.
Reach PartyShare support at hello@partyshare.org or through the Contact page — include the listing or vendor name so we can look into it.
For Vendors
Create a vendor account, complete your business profile and Stripe payout details, then publish listings with photos, pricing, and availability. You control your own prices, terms, and schedule.
PartyShare uses Stripe to send your payout once a booking is complete. You'll verify your identity and connect a bank account through Stripe during vendor onboarding.
Yes — delivery fees, minimums, and instructions are set per listing in the listing editor, so you control how and where you deliver.
Yes — you set your own cancellation policy for each listing, and it's shown to renters before they book.
Vendor payouts on PartyShare currently require a verified US business Stripe account, plus at least one published listing with photos and pricing before you can start receiving bookings.
